2025 Proxy Season Resources

In the 2025 proxy season, Majority Action provided a range of resources to inform investors' voting and engagement related to climate change, inequality and racial equity. These included vote guides, exempt solicitations and dashboards covering the proxy voting records of the largest global asset managers.

  • Six Reasons to Oppose Tesla's Proposed Pay Package for Elon Musk

Ahead of Tesla's annual shareholder meeting on November 6 2025, a new Majority Action briefing argues reasons to oppose the pay package proposed for Elon Musk.  If approved, the pay package would set a dangerous new precedent for handling shares and control to CEOs, and would establish a truly shocking CEO to media worker pay ratio.

  • Exempt Solicitations

In 2025, Majority Action filed exempt solicitations covering key proxy votes: for a racial equity audit at Walmart, a shareholder proposal requesting additional reporting on impact of data centers on climate commitments at Amazon, and against responsible directors at Wells Fargo in response to the bank's rollback of critical climate commitments.

  • Vote Guides

In 2025, Majority Action issued vote guides on inequality and systemic racism, covering a range of key shareholder proposals, and climate change, covering director votes at climate-critical companies.

  • Proxy Voting Dashboards

Majority Action’s interactive Proxy Voting Dashboards complement our Climate in the Boardroom and Equity in the Boardroom reports by providing a comprehensive breakdown of the proxy voting records of the 22 largest asset managers. These dashboards are a resource for asset owners and other interested parties to evaluate and compare how the world’s largest managers are using proxy voting to mitigate risks related to climate change, racial inequity, and social inequality.
